1. General

These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by Danish Apostille, including the processing and legalisation of documents at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (“the Apostille Service”).
By using our service or sending us your documents, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms in full.

2. Service Scope

Danish Apostille acts as an intermediary service between the client and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Our role is limited to:

• Submitting your original Danish marriage certificate to the relevant authority for Apostille legalisation.
• Returning the legalised document to the address provided by the client.

We do not provide translation, legal advice, or verification of document content.

3. Payment & Fees

The total service fee is 150 EUR, covering the Apostille process and standard return postage. Payment must be made by bank transfer before the Apostille process begins.

4. Document Submission

Clients are required to send their original Danish marriage certificate by post to our official address:

We do not accept copies, scans, or emailed documents. Only original certificates sent by post will be processed.

 

5. Refund Policy

Once Danish Apostille has received your original marriage certificate by post, the service is considered initiated and non-refundable.

This means that after we receive the document, no refund of the 150 EUR fee will be issued, even if:

• you decide to cancel,
• the Apostille process is delayed by authorities, or
• you change your mind after we begin.

6. Responsibility & Liability

After the Apostilled document has been sent from our office, Danish Apostille assumes no responsibility for any loss, delay, or damage during delivery.

All documents are sent using PostNord (standard postal service within Denmark and internationally). Once the item is handed over to PostNord, all liability transfers to the postal service.

Danish Apostille cannot be held responsible for:

• Postal or customs delays
• Lost or damaged mail
• Incorrect or incomplete delivery details provided by the client

It is the client’s duty to ensure that the return address is correct and complete.

7. Processing Time

Processing time is typically 5–7 business days from the date we receive your original certificate.
However, timelines may vary depending on:

• The workload of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Public holidays or administrative delays

We are not responsible for any delay beyond our control.

8. Client Obligations

The client agrees to:

• Submit only original and valid Danish marriage certificates.
• Provide accurate contact and return address details.
• Accept that Danish Apostille is not liable once the document is handed to PostNord.

9. Limitation of Liability

Danish Apostille is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss (e.g., missed deadlines, visa delays, or loss of income). Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for the service (150 EUR).

10. Cancellation Policy

A cancellation made before the original certificate is received by Danish Apostille will be refunded.
Once the original document is received, the process is considered active and non-refundable.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Danish law, and any dispute shall be settled exclusively by the courts of Denmark.

12. Privacy & Confidentiality

All documents and personal data are handled confidentially and used solely for the purpose of processing the Apostille.
We do not share or store documents beyond what is necessary to complete the service.

13. Force Majeure

Danish Apostille shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control, including postal strikes, government delays, or natural events.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By sending your original marriage certificate to Danish Apostille, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
